These lines which represent the installed or proposed locations of the "Export Cable" portions of a wind farm show the current plans that the developers of the wind farms intend to build. Note that until installation occurs, these locations can change.
These data contain both proposed and installed export cables. The proposed cables show the developer’s current plans, but until installation occurs, these locations are subject to change. These preliminary data are being provided to help inform stakeholders of the intended location so they can provide feedback regarding the potential location of these cables. In most cases, the cables shown are the maximum proposed build out within the individual design envelope of the project. In some cases, more than one proposed layout is provided. If no specific configuration option is shown in the attributes, then all the locations are considered the preferred option. Regardless of which option is ultimately permitted, the placement and total number of cables built may vary from what is presented here. These data will be updated as new publicly available information is released. Data are provided by the lessee for project planning review and permitting uses.

Layers are merged within ArcPro using geospatial layers provided by the Developers (lessee).
Polyline files provided by Lessee's were merged using the ArcPro Merge tool. Attributes that did not match were mapped to the preferred schema attributes. Any obvious attribute errors were corrected by the BOEM Geographer.
Data is provided to BOEM Office of Renewable Energy through the Lessee by request or along with one of a number of plans submitted.

Indicator of where the majority of the cable will lie. Federal = Federal Outer Continental Shelf Waters; State = State offshore waters; Federal/State = Both Federal and State are represented (polyline was not broken into sections); inland = waters inland of coastal areas or coastline; land = state areas above sea level or a mix of land and inland waters.
